Manage candidate sources

Describes how to add, edit, and remove candidate sources from your Recruiting database, so you can accurately track where applicants come from.

This article is for administrators

You must have administrator or staffing user access.

If you post jobs on job boards that do not work directly with Paycor Recruiting, add those job boards as new sources in your Applicant Tracking System (ATS).  You can then create Tracking Links for jobs and add those links to your job posts on those sites. When applicants apply through the Tracking Links, the ATS shows where they came from. This helps you track which job boards bring in applicants. For more information, refer to Create Tracking Links for external job boards.

If you need to add a candidate to your ATS manually, use candidate sources to show you where you found the candidate.  For more information, refer to Create a candidate

Tracking sources helps you understand which job boards and channels bring in the most applicants.

Add a candidate source

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
  2. Select Admin, and then select Company Settings.
  3. Select Sources.
  4. Select Create a new Source.
  5. In the window that opens, enter a name in the Name field.
  6. Select Save

After you add the source, the system adds it to the source list. You can assign it to candidates and create tracking links for job postings on that source.

Edit or delete a candidate source

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
  2. Select Admin, and then select Company Settings.
  3. Select Sources
  4. Locate the source you want to update.

  5. Perform one of the following actions:
  • To edit the source, select the Edit (pencil) icon, update the name. Then select Save.
  • To delete the source, select the Delete (trash can) icon.

After you update a source, the system reflects the name change in the source list. Deleted sources are removed and cannot be selected.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot create a source: Verify you have administrator or staffing user permissions.
  • Source does not appear: Make sure you select Save when creating the new source. Refresh the screen after saving.
  • Cannot delete a source: Verify the source is not in use.
