What Are the Email Deliverability Requirements?
- On February 1, 2024, Google and Yahoo began requiring email senders to authenticate their emails using security protocols like DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), Sender Policy Framework (SPF), and Domain-Based Messaging Authentication (DMARC).
- These new standards were implemented to enhance security, reduce the risk of phishing, spam, and malware, and ultimately create a more secure email experience.
- Email authentication makes an organization less vulnerable to bad actors and spam attacks.

What Do the New Requirements Mean to Recruiting?
If you have not already enabled security protocols like DKIM, SPF, and DMARC, Recruiting cannot send emails on behalf of your domain.
-
As of Wednesday, January 24, 2024:
- Any emails sent from Paycor Recruiting on behalf of your corporate email address are now sent from noreply@echo.newtonsoftware.com, and any emails sent from individual user email addresses were sent from reply_ok@echo.newtonsoftware.com.
-
As of Wednesday, January 31, 2024:
- Customers without DMARC configuration do not have the option to disable Echo functionality to have candidate responses sent directly back to the individual user's email inbox.
- All replies populate directly in the candidate profile in Recruiting.
- To receive replies directly in your user email inbox, you can CC yourself on the outbound email communications.
How Do I Maintain My Company Branding in Email Communications?
You can update your current settings and maintain the ability for emails to be sent from your company email domain instead of @echo.newtonsoftware.com.
To do so, you must configure DMARC. Your company's administrator who manages your email domain should review these DMARC and DKIM Setup Requirements.
