Decide when to use an agency
Outside recruiters go by many names. You might see them called recruiting agencies, staffing agencies, employment agencies, executive search firms, or headhunters. In Recruiting, we call them agencies.
An agency can help in these situations:
- Time to hire: You must fill a role quickly.
- Quality of hire: You need to fill a role that is hard to staff. This includes technical roles, high-level roles, and niche roles.
- No in-house recruiter: You hire only once in a while, or you are a small business.
