Overview
Turn on Allow Generic Site Submissions so candidates can send a resume without applying for a specific job. This helps you build a resume bank to use later. Candidates who apply this way go to your Generic Candidate Pool.
Allow candidates to submit generic applications
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking. Your Recruiting dashboard opens.
- Select Admin, then select the Careers Page tab. The Careers Page screen displays.
- Go to the Allow people to submit a resume without selecting a job section. Select the checkbox next to Display Generic Site Submission Text.
- This text appears:
Don't see the job you are looking for? You can submit a resume for future consideration by {APPLY LINK - TEXT: CLICKING HERE}

- The text displays like this online: Don't see the job you are looking for? You can submit a resume for future consideration by clicking here.
Notes:
- Candidates who apply through the generic submission go to your Generic Candidate Pool. For more information, refer to Find generic candidates in the candidate pool.
- These candidates receive a thank you letter or email, just like other applicants. For more information, refer to Administrator's Guide to Thank You (Rejection) Letters in Recruiting.
