How Do I Send Scheduled Email and Text Messages in Recruiting?

Describes how to schedule emails and text messages to send to candidates in the future.

This article is for administrators.

 

1. Log in and go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking. Your Recruiting dashboard appears.

2. Click the job title the candidate applied for. The Candidate Breakdown tab appears, displaying a list of candidates.

3. Hover over a candidate's name, and when the popup appears, click the email (envelope) icon. The Send an Email screen appears.

4. Enter the contents of the email, and at the bottom right, click the clock icon. The DELAY SENDING popup window appears.

5. Select a preset option or in the Some Date at field, enter a custom date and time to schedule the message delivery for a day in the future. 

6. After you select the delay option, the button changes to SEND EMAIL ON [DATE]. Click the button to schedule the email. A success notification appears briefly at the bottom of the screen.

7. To cancel a scheduled email, access the item in the scheduled email news feed, and on the right, click the vertical ellipses icon and select Cancel Scheduled Send


Steps to Send a Scheduled Text Message? 

1. Follow Steps 1 and 2 in the topic above. 

2. Hover over a candidate's name, and when the popup appears, click the text (comment bubble) icon. The Send an Email screen appears.

3. When the Send an Email popup appears, click the Candidate Text Message tab. The screen updates.

3. Compose the text message, and when you finish, on the bottom right, click the clock icon. The DELAY SENDING popup window appears. 

4. Select a preset option or in the Some Date at field, enter a custom date and time to schedule the message delivery for a day in the future. 

5. After you select the delay option, the button changes to SEND TEXT ON [DATE]. Click the button to schedule the Text. A success notification appears briefly at the bottom of the screen.

6. To cancel a scheduled text message, access the item in the scheduled text message news feed, and on the right, click the vertical ellipses, then select Cancel Scheduled Send
