Overview
- Recruiting job priorities show how urgent it is to fill a position.
- They help recruiters and hiring managers focus on the roles that need attention first.
- Priorities are used for internal planning and do not impact the job's external status.
What this feature does
Recruiting job priorities give your team a shared view of hiring urgency. This helps your team:
- Communicate how quickly a role needs to be filled.
- Focus on sourcing, screening, and interviews for the right jobs.
-
Add context to dashboards and reports without changing job status.
Change the Job Priority field
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
-
Open the job you want to update.
- On the Job Details screen, select a value from the Priority drop-down menu.
- Urgent: The role needs to be filled as soon as possible and requires top attention.
- Normal: The role follows a standard hiring timeline.
- Low: The role has flexible timing or a lower business need.
-
On Hold: Hiring for the role is paused for a short time, but the job remains active.
- Save the Job Details.
Important considerations
- Changing job priority does not remove a job from your Careers page or external job boards.
- Setting a job to On Hold pauses urgency internally but keeps the job active. The job stays visible to your team and remains visible externally unless you end promotions separately.
- To stop external visibility, you must end job promotions. This is managed separately from job priority.
