Overview

Sometimes, you may want to pause with a candidate instead of moving forward right away.

Use the Back Burner status to keep these candidates in a good place for later. This option helps you stay organized while keeping strong candidates close.

  • The candidate is not on the Home dashboard.
  • Your dashboard stays clean and easy to use.
  • You can quickly find the candidate when the time is right.

Change a candidate's status to back burner

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking.
  2. Go to the candidate's record.
  3. Select the stage for the candidate:Review, Phone Screen, or Interview.
  4. Select Back Burner.
  5. Add Comments as needed.
  6. Select Save.

Review a candidate in back burner status

  1. Go to the Home dashboard.
  2. Select the top-most box to the right of the job information. If the box is grayed out, there are no candidates in the Back Burner status.

Remove the back burner status

You can also remove the Back Burner status from these stages. To learn more, refer to Create and implement a custom hiring process.Shows the Create a New Hiring Process screen where the Back Burner checkbox is added and removed.
