Set up a Thank You for Applying email template for a specific job
After candidates apply for a job, they receive a Thanks for Applying email, which you can customize. By default, all applicants receive the same standardized email. For more information, refer to Edit the thanks for applying message notification and email in Recruiting.
To send a different Thank You for Applying email to applicants of specific jobs, follow these steps:
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking.
- Select Admin > Email Templates > Corporate Settings.
- On the Message Templates tab, under Thank You for Applying Email, select Create a Custom Template.
- Complete these fields, then select Save:
- Template Name
- Subject Line
- Message Body

Associate jobs with a custom Thank You for Applying email template
After you create a custom Thank You for Applying email template, you must associate or link the template with a job.
Associate the template with an existing job
- Open the Job Info Screen and find the Thank You For Applying Email field.
- Select the Thank You for Applying Email template you want to associate with this job, then select Save.
Applicants to this job now receive the associated Thank You for Applying Email template.

Associate the template with a new job
- Go to the Create a Job screen and find the Thank You for Applying Email field.
- Select the Thank You for Applying Email template you want to associate with this job.
- Finish activating the job.
Applicants to this job now receive the associated Thank You for Applying Email template.
