How Do Candidates Opt In to Receive Text Messages?

  • When you enable texting, applicants can opt in to receive text messages by selecting an option on the application. This must be enabled on a candidate’s record to receive a text message.
  • If the candidate does not initially opt in on the application, you can manually opt in a candidate, assuming they have expressed consent to communicate via text.
  • Some cell phone plans charge extra for text messaging, and some applicants might not have a texting plan.
  • Administrators and Staffing Users can manually opt out candidates from text messaging. You can do this in Privacy Tools under the Info icon . The Privacy Tools feature must be enabled to see these options. For more information, see How Do I Use Privacy Tools in Recruiting?.
