Mark an employee as an internal applicant

Describes how to mark a candidate as an Internal Applicant even if they didn’t apply internally and explains who can see the record and which setting controls who can see it.

This article is for administrators.

If a candidate does not apply through an Internal Job Posting, you can still mark them as an Internal Applicant. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the candidate's record and select the More Info icon.
  2. On the Candidate Info tab, go to Set Source/Referrer.
  3. Select Internal Applicant
  4. Select Save.

This occurs:

  • When a candidate is marked as an Internal Applicant, most Standard Users cannot see the record.
  • Only users assigned to the correct job can see the record.
  • This works only if Hide Internal Candidates from Standard Users is turned On.
  • You can find this setting in Admin > Company Settings > Candidate Hiding.

Displays the Candidate Info page, highlighting the Source/Referrer field.
