You can create a short tracking link for a job post. Short tracking links allow you to share a tracking link in a format that is easier to read, copy, and distribute.
Create a short tracking link
Important: You must create a tracking link before creating a short tracking link. For more information, refer to Create tracking links for external job boards.
Use these steps after you create a tracking link for your job.
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
- Go to the job that contains the tracking link.

Go to Job Promotion > Tracking Link. In the Copy Link window, select Show short link.

When the short tracking links appear, select COPY. Your short link is now ready to use.
Where to use short links
You can use short links anywhere you share job postings, including:
- Job boards
- Social media posts
- Emails
- Printed materials like newspapers or flyers
Short links make it easier for people to access your job quickly.
Using Short Links with Twitter and Gravity
If your company uses the Gravity app:
- Job links are automatically shortened for Twitter.
- This helps keep posts within the character limit.
