Set up an internal job list with an iFrame

This article explains how to set up an internal jobs page using a Paycor iFrame so employees can easily find and apply for internal job openings.

This article is for administrators.

Overview

Recruiting’s Internal Jobs iFrame helps you create a page that shows all internal job postings.

  • You can add the iFrame to a company website.
  • Employees can go to one place to look for new jobs.
  • When an employee applies through the iFrame, they are automatically marked as an Internal Applicant.
  • If an internal application is set up, the employee is taken to it directly to apply.

Set up an internal jobs page with an iFrame

Follow these steps, even if you have used iFrames before. You must add code to an internal web page and update Admin settings in Recruiting.

Prerequisites

Before you start, confirm the following:

  • You can edit and publish code on the internal web page where the IFrame is to be placed.
  • You have access to Paycor Recruiting > Career Page Admin
  • Your user account includes the Careers Website Editor permission. An Admin user can help if needed.
  • Your external careers page also uses an iFrame.

Important: Recruiting Support may need to turn on the Internal iFrame feature.

  • Email recruitingsupport@paycor.com
  • Request them to unlock the internal iFrame feature.
  • If the feature is turned off, you will not see the settings in this guide.

Get started with internal jobs iFrame

Follow these steps to set up your internal jobs page:

  1. Ask your IT team to add new code to the internal web page where you want to list your internal jobs.
  2. In Paycor, go to People > Hiring > Talent Acquisition
  3. Select Admin, then select Careers Page
  4. Select the Internal Settings tab.
  5. Under Internal Hosting Settings, select Use an iFrame.
  6. Copy the iFrame code. This is one line of JavaScript that loads the iFrame on your page.
  7. Paste the code into the HTML of your internal web page. Place the code where you want the job list to display.
    1. This iFrame also shows the job description and job application pages.
  8. Publish the page.
  9. Save the full web address (URL) of the page where you added the code.
    1. Notes:
      1. This code must be added to the raw HTML for the web page.
      2. Do not add the code as visible text on the page.
      3. If the page is public, internal jobs are also public.
      4. Keep the page secure, so only employees can access it.
  10. Go back to Recruiting
  11. Select Admin, then select Careers Page.
  12. Select the Internal Settings tab.
  13. Make sure the Internal Hosting Settings field is set to Use an IFrame.
  14. In the Internal Jobs iFrame Code field, paste the full URL of your internal web page.
  15. Select Save.

Understand limits and security for internal iFrame

Keep these points in mind when you use the internal jobs iFrame:

  • The internal iFrame loads on only one website domain. This is specified by the URL pasted in the Internal
    Career Page field.
  • You cannot change how the iFrame looks at this time. It uses Paycor Recruiting’s default style (CSS). This looks best on lighter backgrounds.
  • At first, internal job listings in the internal iFrame are public. You must limit access to only employees.
    • Example to limit access
      • Show the page only on your company intranet.
      • Use a password-protected page.

If you have trouble setting up the internal jobs iFrame:

  1. Email recruitingsupport@paycor.com.
  2. Include:
    1. Short description of the problem,
    2. The full URL of the internal page where you added the iFrame code.
