Overview 

Use this article to reopen a closed or filled job in Recruiting. The steps vary based on whether your company uses Job Approval. 

Reopen a closed or filled job 

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform. 
  2. On the Recruiting dashboard, select the Search icon, in your top left corner, then select Job Search.

  3. Locate the closed or filled job you want to reopen. 
  • Select the Any Status filter. 
  • Choose Closed and Filled to limit the list.

  1. Select the job title to open the job record.  
  2. Continue based on your Job Approval setup. 

Reopen a job without job approval 

If you do not use Job Approval: 

  1. Open the Job Info window.

  2. Change the Job Status to Active. Recruiting reactivates the job so you can accept applicants again. 

Reopen a job with job approval 

If you use Job Approval: 

  1. Select To re-open and request approval, click here on the right side of the page to review the request.

  2. Select Next. The Final Step: Submit Your Approval Request window opens.  
  3. Add a comment if needed. 
  4. Select Submit to send the request for approval. The job reopens after the approval workflow is completed. 

Troubleshooting 

I do not see the job

  • Confirm that the Any Status filter is set and includes Closed and Filled.   

I cannot change the job status

  • Your company may use Job Approval. Follow the steps in the Job Approval section to submit a request.
