Overview
The Application Builder lets you customize your application and create different applications for different jobs. It fits your original Recruiting setup.
Collect data that supports hiring decisions
Applications are used to collect data that helps you make hiring decisions.
- Applications help you decide if a candidate meets the minimum qualifications for the job.
- Do not store sensitive or personal information about candidates in the application.
- Recruiting is not a system of record and was not designed for that purpose.
- Use applications to learn about a candidate so you can decide if the person is a good fit.
Use a separate process for background checks
To confirm a person's identity, use a separate process outside of Recruiting.
- Choose a preferred background check partner. For more information, refer to Use the background check integration.
- A separate process makes sure that only authorized users can access the sensitive information required for background checks.
Store sensitive information outside Recruiting after hiring
After you hire an applicant, store sensitive information in another system of record with active security measures:
- Store date of birth, social security number (SSN), and emergency contact information outside the Recruiting system. This protects the security and privacy of the information.
- Store any other sensitive information, such as background check results, in another system of record with security measures in place.
