Stop accepting resumes for an active job posting

Sometimes you may get too many applicants for a job. You may want to remove the job from your website but still keep the job open in Recruiting. This is also known as pausing a job.

When you do this:

  • The job stays open and active in Recruiting.
  • The job no longer shows on your Careers page or on job sites like Indeed, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor.

Follow these steps to stop accepting resumes for an active job posting:

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking
  2. Select the job title to stop accepting resumes for, and the job details screen opens.
  3. Select the blue More Info icon (). A popup appears.
  4. Select the Job Promotions tab. A Paycor Recruiting page shows the job promotion tab with the End Promotion selection under the Company Pages section.
  5. In the Company Careers Page section, select the vertical ellipses icon.
  6. In the popup, select End Promotion.
A pop‑up shows a warning about ending all promotions with Cancel and End Promotion buttons.
  7. This occurs:
    1. A success notification displays briefly.
    2. The green Active label is changes to a blue Promote label for the Company Careers Page.
    3. The promotion is also removed from the Free Job Boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor).
