How Do I Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication After Registration?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup must be performed on the web version of Paycor. MFA setup cannot be completed in the Paycor mobile app.

 

MFA is like having a double lock on your online accounts. It requires you to provide two or more pieces of evidence to verify your identity.

  1. If you skipped multi-factor authentication setup during registration, when you login to Paycor you will see the following message: 

 

  1. When you select Enable MFA you are taken to your Settings with the Security tab selected.
  2. In the section Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Choose your preferred method of MFA
    1. For information about your options for MFA, see What Are My Options When I Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) During Registration? 
    2. Note: To choose the Phone option for voice or text verification, you must have a verified phone number associated with your Paycor profile.
  3. When you have made your selection, click Save.
  4. The next time you sign into Paycor you will be asked to verify your identify using the MFA option you chose.

If you chose Email Verification, but did not receive the verification email:

  1. Check your Junk email folder and see if the email is there.
  2. Your email address may be incorrectly entered in Paycor. Contact your administrator to verify that your email address is correct. If your email address is not correct, ask you administrator to fix it. Once your email address is corrected, try Email Verification again.
